Ermioni

The picturesque fishing village of Ermioni is built amphitheatrically on the eastern tip of the Peloponnese peninsula, and it uniquely combines the atmosphere of the island with the modern facilities and vibrant entertainment of the city. Hence Ermioni has become a famous holiday destination over the years while, at the same time, it has kept intact its original character. 
Ascending through the cobblestone alleys and the beautiful houses, one will eventually stumble upon an ancient hill called Pronos, at the top of which lies a traditional chapel, Agia Ermioni, which is built on the foundations of a temple, dedicated to goddess Hera, and offers breathtaking panoramic views.
From the hilltop, you may admire the island of Hydra, one of the most cosmopolitan islands of Greece, and Dokos, an islet where archaeologists discovered impressive finds from the oldest shipwreck in the world. Letting your gaze wander towards the inland, you will also see the plain that lies below; a rich, fertile land known for producing first quality products, such as pomegranates, citrus fruits, and its world-famous virgin olive oil. 
About 5 km northwest of Ermioni, you will find Katafiki gorge, a fascinating place of natural beauty, with cliffs, caves and lush vegetation, and an 18th-century chapel adding to the overall beauty of the landscape.
There is an old historic bridge there that leads to the picturesque village of Fourni, through a magical route surrounded by fragrant pine trees and gurgling streams. 
As to your seaside relaxation, you can visit Bisti, a small pine-covered peninsula very close to Ermioni, that has amazing beaches, as well as other stunning seafronts around Ermioni, such as the coastline of Thermisia, and the beaches of Kouverta, Sentoni, Petrothalassa, Aghios Dimitrios, Dardiza, and Plepi.
