Hydra - Spetses - Poros

 A well known cosmopolitan Greek island just opposite Ermioni, Hydra is easily accessible from 180^o South Seaside Hotel. Drive a 10-minute distance to Metochi village, where you can take a water taxi to carry you to the island in just 10 minutes. Cars are not allowed on the island, so it has managed to maintain its unique character, gilded with unspoiled natural landscapes. This magnificent gem of the Saronic Gulf is offered for many walks; you can start from the port and head towards the island’s central clock, the Maritime Museum and the Port Authority, wandering through the narrow streets with the beautiful old mansions and the picturesque squares. After your pleasant strolls around the island’s sites, sit at a tavern, down at the port, to relish delicious Greek flavors and then take a walk to Hydronetta, a hot-spot on the island, to admire the sunset from a vantage point!

Half an hour’s drive to the settlement of Kosta will enable you to take a water taxi to Spetses in just two minutes, making up a day’s excursion not to be missed. As with Hydra, no cars are permitted on the island, but you can move around easily on a horse-drawn carriage – alternatively, if you like to be more autonomous, you can rent a bike or a motorcycle. Hop on a water taxi or a boat to take a tour around the island, and stop by a beautiful sandy beach to enjoy the sea and the sun.

The beautiful island of Poros is about a 35 to 40-minutes drive from 180^o South Seaside Hotel, following the coastline towards Galatas village, where you will get a boat to Poros, departing every 10 minutes and covering a route that lasts only 2 minutes. In Poros, you will find many beaches to enjoy swimming, and all the modern facilities you may need while on the island.
